主講人介紹：李彤，現(xiàn)任美國(guó)愛(ài)荷華大學(xué)(University of Iowa)數(shù)學(xué)系教授。李彤教授于1983年本科畢業(yè)于北京大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系，1992年于美國(guó)紐約大學(xué)庫(kù)朗研究所獲博士學(xué)位，2008年擔(dān)任美國(guó)愛(ài)荷華大學(xué)正教授， 2008-2014年期間曾任西安交通大學(xué)、上海交通大學(xué)訪(fǎng)問(wèn)教授。目前主要從事非線(xiàn)性雙曲守恒律、交通流、生物數(shù)學(xué)等方面的研究，尤其是在交通流和生物數(shù)學(xué)方面做了很多有趣的工作。

內(nèi)容介紹：We study global existence and long-time behavior of solutions for hyperbolic-parabolic PDE models of chemotaxis. We show the existence and the stability of traveling wave solutions to a system of nonlinear conservation laws derived from the Keller-Segel model. Traveling wave solutions of chemotaxis models with growth are also investigated. Moreover, we find oscillatory traveling wave solutions to an attractive chemotaxis system which are biologically relevant.
