主講人介紹：王海永，2010年博士畢業(yè)于中南大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)院，2011-2012年在比利時(shí)魯汶大學(xué)(荷語(yǔ))從事博士后研究，2013年進(jìn)入華中科技大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)院工作。主要從事譜方法、高振蕩問(wèn)題的分析與計(jì)算等問(wèn)題的研究。其與向淑晃教授給出的Legendre零點(diǎn)的重心權(quán)公式被Nick Trefethen（美國(guó)科學(xué)院及工程院院士、中科院外籍院士、SIAM前主席）在專(zhuān)著《Approximation Theory and Approximation Practice》中列為多項(xiàng)式領(lǐng)域的十一個(gè)關(guān)鍵公式之一。2013年獲湖南省優(yōu)博和湖北省“楚天學(xué)子”，2021年獲教育部高等學(xué)?？茖W(xué)研究?jī)?yōu)秀成果獎(jiǎng)二等獎(jiǎng)(排名第二)，在SIAM J. Numer. Anal., Numer. Math., Math. Comp.， lMA J. Numer. Anal.等計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)期刊發(fā)表論文三十余篇。

內(nèi)容介紹：Hermite spectral method plays an important role in scientific computing. However, it is difficult to find some sharp convergence results of Hermite spectral approximations for analytic functions. In this talk, I will introduce recent advancement on convergence analysis of Hermite approximations (including projection and interpolation) for analytic functions. In particular, our analysis establishes the root-exponential convergence of Gauss-Hermite quadrature under explicit conditions on the integrands, which has been considered as a folklore for a long time.
