主講人介紹：吳森林，中北大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)院教授、博士生導(dǎo)師。主要研究方向包括Banach空間理論以及凸和離散幾何。正在主持國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金面上項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)；主持完成國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金面上項(xiàng)目與青年基金項(xiàng)目各1 項(xiàng)、德國(guó)DFG合作交流項(xiàng)目3項(xiàng)、德國(guó)DAAD合作交流項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)、博士后科學(xué)基金特別資助項(xiàng)目和博士后科學(xué)基金面上項(xiàng)目各1項(xiàng)、其它省部級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目3項(xiàng)； 發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文40余篇，其中30余篇被SCI 收錄，1篇論文入選ESI高被引 論文。曾獲黑龍江省科學(xué)技術(shù)二等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)，受邀出席2019年華人世界數(shù)學(xué)家大會(huì)(ICCM, 北京)并做45分鐘報(bào)告。

內(nèi)容介紹：For each positive integer ? and each real finite dimensional Banach space ?, we set ???, ?? to be the infimum of ? ∈ ?0,1? such that each set ? ? ? having diameter 1 can be represented as the union of ? subsets of ? whose diameters are at most ? . Elementary properties of ???, ??, including its stability with respect to ? in the sense of Banach- Mazur metric, are presented. Two methods for estimating ???, ?? as well as their applications are introduced. These results and methods are closely related to the extension of Borsuk's problem in finite dimensional Banach spaces and to C. Zong's computer program for Borsuk's conjecture.
