主講人介紹:熊革,同濟(jì)大學(xué)教授、博士生導(dǎo)師。主要研究凸體幾何。他解決了? 靜電容量的Minkowski問(wèn)題;提出并證明了“? transference principle”, 對(duì)? Brunn-Minkowski 型不等式進(jìn)行了統(tǒng)一處理。他解決了凸體幾何中的幾個(gè)公開(kāi)問(wèn)題,包括錐體積泛函仿射極值的 Lutwak-Yang-Zhang 公開(kāi)問(wèn)題的2,3維情形;由截面確定凸體的 Baker-Larman 公開(kāi)問(wèn)題的2維情形;完全解決了 G. Zhang 關(guān)于凸體的 John 橢球與對(duì)偶慣性橢球的一致性問(wèn)題。 他在國(guó)際純數(shù)學(xué)重要期刊如 JDG,Adv. Math.,JFA,CVPDE,IUMJ,IMRN, CAG,Israel J. Math.,DCG,BLMS 等發(fā)表論文近30篇。
內(nèi)容介紹:It is known that there exists a unique ellipsoid of maximal volume inside a convex body (a compact convex set with non-empty interiors) in ?? . This ellipsoid is called John ellipsoid (named after mathematician Fritz John), and has many applications in convex geometry, functional analysis, and optimizations. In this talk, I will summarize our various work related to John ellipsoid. This work has been an important topic for our group over the past 10 years.
